Jennifer Aniston will shock millions of Friends fans by sharing a lesbian kiss with Winona Ryder.
Bosses of the TV show are in talks about the lesbian scene to boost ratings after signing up Winona as a guest star.
It will be screened in the US next month and in Britain in April, if TV bosses agree to the scene.
Ryder, 29, is being lined up to play a gay girl who falls for Jennifer's character Rachel.
Jennifer, 32, wed to Brad Pitt, will shoot the scene within weeks if TV bosses give the go-ahead.
A show insider said: "If it gets the all-clear it will be a full-on French kiss.
"Rachel will end up singing the praises of same-sex snogging to her friend Phoebe.
"We expect a lot of men who don't usually see the show to watch Jennifer and Winona in action."
Other TV shows have used a lesbian kiss to boost ratings.
Brookside's Beth and Margaret, played by Anna Friel and Nicola Stephenson played gay pals and Ally McBeal, played by Calista Flockhart, was seen kissing Ling Woo Lucy Liu.
