The new McDonalds commercials that replaced the Ronald McDonald clown with Justin Timberlake aren’t proving popular with consumers.
McDonald’s launched the new advertising campaign to boost slumping sales.
The spots featured the ‘N Sync frontman’s vocals and visuals that were shot to resemble old-fashioned home videos showing people doing everyday things. But so far they are a flop.
Larry Light, executive vice president and global chief marketing officer of McDonald's, says, "For many consumers, change is uncomfortable. The only thing that will change that is time. We are not going to change the ads. Our challenge is to stay the course."
