Man dies after fight outside Cork nightclub

A man has died following a fight outside a nightclub in Cork.

The victim suffered a number of injuries during an altercation outside the premises on the city's Grafton St just after midnight.

He was taken to South Infirmary Hospital, where he died a short time later.

A garda investigation has been launched and a post mortem will be carried out later today to establish the exact cause of death.
