Process headed for review, says Trimble

The North's first minister David Trimble said the peace process is moving towards a review and insisted Republicans need to take hard decisions to break the deadlock over policing, demilitarisation and IRA disarmament.

The North's first minister David Trimble said the peace process is moving towards a review and insisted Republicans need to take hard decisions to break the deadlock over policing, demilitarisation and IRA disarmament.

The UUP leader was speaking after meeting British Prime Minster Tony Blair at Downing Street.

He said, if there was a failure to deal with the issues, then a review would be an obvious way to take stock.

Mr Blair is also involved in talks with the SDLP.
