There have been angry scenes at this afternoon's Prime Ministers Question Time over the resignation of Peter Mandelson.

There have been angry scenes at this afternoon's Prime Minister's Question Time over the resignation of Peter Mandelson.

Opposition leader William Hague said: "Truth, honesty and integrity have been replaced by spin and smear".

He also added that Prime Minister Tony Blair should not have had faith in Mr Mandelson in light of the fact that this was his second resignation in just over two years.

Mr Blair replied: "I am very proud of the contribution he made whilst in Government".
