Scotland stand-off Gregor Townsend could be set for a return to Six Nations action in the Calcutta Cup match against England.

The Castres half-back suffered a knee injury just minutes into the opening game of the tournament in Paris, and it was feared he would miss the rest of the competition.

However, Townsend has made excellent progress and although he rates himself as doubtful for the England game on March 3, he could find himself in contention for the match at Twickenham.
