Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has dismissed suggestions that he was duped into letting Mark Bosnich join Chelsea on a free transfer.
It has been muted that Bosnich was only given permission to leave Old Trafford on the understanding that he would move abroad.
However, Ferguson told The Sun: "I'm not bothered where he has gone, not bothered at all.
"Our chief executive Peter Kenyon contacted me in Spain and said his agent wanted to have permission to go to London to have talks about a transfer to another club. I said fine.
"If I had wanted to know where he was going, I would have made sure I knew. I would have made a stipulation about where he was going.
"But it did not matter to me where he went and I've not spoken to Mark.
"We made up our mind he could go. The move has been done, life goes on."
