Gardaí seize €63,000 in drug raids

Gardaí are questioning two men in connection with a €63,000 drug seizure in Co Cork.

Gardaí are questioning two men in connection with a €63,000 drug seizure in Co Cork.

Gardaí stopped and searched a vehicle on Ballinrea Road, Carrigaline at about 8.15pm last night. They found approximately €30,000 of cocaine in the vehicle.

A follow-up search of a house recovered a further €30,000 of the drug and about €3,000 of cannabis, a garda spokeswoman said.

Two men were arrested in connection with the find. They are being held by gardaí at Togher garda station under Section Two of the Drug Trafficking Act.
