British Prime Minister Tony Blair is to visit Washington and meet George W Bush.

British Prime Minister Tony Blair is to visit Washington and meet George W Bush.

Mr Blair and his wife Cherie have been invited by the new President to visit him in Washington and at his rural retreat Camp David.

They will be travelling to the USA on February 23, said a Downing Street spokesman.

He said: "The Prime Minister was glad to accept President Bush's invitation to visit Washington for talks on February 23 and 24.

"He and Mrs Blair look forward particularly to spending time with President and Mrs Bush at Camp David."
