Soccer: Treble talk is nonsense, says Celtic boss

Martin O'Neill insists there is as much chance of Celtic winning the treble as a Henrik Larsson move to Old Trafford.

Martin O'Neill insists there is as much chance of Celtic winning the treble as a Henrik Larsson move to Old Trafford.

The Parkhead boss has already rubbished claims that their star striker will be joining Manchester United in a £15million deal.

Now he has urged the Celtic faithful to forget about a clean sweep of trophies this season.

He said: "Any talk of us winning the treble is as big a nonsense as the Larsson story - I am not going to get involved in talk about winning every competition.

"I know how difficult it is to win one trophy, never mind three at the one time. When I was with Nottingham Forest we won the European Cup but couldn't win the FA Cup.

"All it takes is a bad bounce or the opposition keeper having the game of his life to knock you out of a competition."
