ICSA urges Govt to focus on CAP reform

The Irish Cattle Suppliers Association has called on Agriculture Minister Joe Walsh to acknowledge that reform of the EU's Common Agriculture Policy is the best means to secure improvements in living standards for farmers.

The Irish Cattle Suppliers Association has called on Agriculture Minister Joe Walsh to acknowledge that reform of the EU's Common Agriculture Policy is the best means to secure improvements in living standards for farmers.

Association president Charlie Reilly said farmers will not benefit from the social partnership process.

Mr Reilly said the Government should focus on weaning Irish farmers off EU subsidies which are tied to production.
