Death by misadventure ruled in Malik pool death
The death of fireman Daniel Williams, who drowned in the swimming pool at film star Art Malik's Surrey home, has been given a verdict of misadventure.
An inquest heard how he had consumed large quantities of alcohol as well as cocaine and ecstasy before the incident.
Coroner Miss Alison Thompson recorded a verdict of death by misadventure on Mr Williams, the boyfriend of Malik's daughter Jessica.
The tragedy occurred during her 21st birthday party.
True Lies star Malik, 49, and his wife Gina, 46, were indoors at the house in Surbiton, Surrey, at the time.
