Coventry City have secured an option to sign Moroccan midfielder Youssef Safri in the summer from Raja Casablanca in a £750,000 deal.

Coventry City have secured an option to sign Moroccan midfielder Youssef Safri in the summer from Raja Casablanca in a £750,000 deal.

Sky Blues chairman Bryan Richardson said: "It would be impractical for him to join us now because Morocco have still got five internationals before the end of the season."

Coventry already have two Moroccans at Highfield Road - Mustapha Hadji and Youssef Chippo.
