Man killed by train in Dublin

A 41-year-old man was killed in an overnight rail accident in Dublin.

A 41-year-old man was killed in an overnight rail accident in Dublin.

The man died after he was struck by a southbound freight train at Sandymount DART station on the city's southside at around 2.45am.

Emergency services were called and the body was later removed from the scene.

Iarnrod Eireann has launched an investigation into the incident.
