SFA warns of growing jobs crisis

The Small Firms Association has claimed that Ireland is facing a potential jobs crisis due to its declining economic competitiveness.

The Small Firms Association has claimed that Ireland is facing a potential jobs crisis due to its declining economic competitiveness.

In its spring economic statement, the association said Irish companies were already shedding jobs at an alarming rate due to increasing costs.

The SFA has called on the Government to address the problem by moderating wages, increasing competition in the domestic market and speeding up housing and transport projects.
