A 45-year-old man used a false name to obtain £37,000 (€53,200) worth of electrical goods, Belfast Magistrates Court was told today.
Colin Bell from the Poplars in Mallusk, Co Antrim, faced a total of five charges including deception, possession of a firearm and ammunition in suspicious circumstances and possession of cannabis with intent to supply.
The court heard that he used a false name to dishonestly obtain thousands of pounds worth of goods from S&R Electric last Thursday.
A detective sergeant said the accused made no reply when charged but he believed he could connect him with the crime.
He was remanded in custody to appear again on November 29.
