Donal Moloney and Gerry O'Connor have been confirmed as joint managers of the Clare hurlers.

The pair have been appointed to succeed Davy Fitzgerald, who stepped-down last month after five years in charge.

Moloney and O'Connor have been given an initial two-year term with the county after they helped the Under-21s to a hat-trick of All-Ireland titles between 2012 and 2014.

The pair are set to be joined by Donal Óg Cusack in their backroom team.

Colm Collins has been retained for another season as manager of the Clare footballers.

Meanwhile, one of the men who was expected to challenge Moloney and O'Connor for the Clare job is set to remain part of the Limerick hurling set-up.

Former Clare manager Anthony Daly has agreed to remain-on as hurling coach for the Limerick minors, who will be managed this year by John Mulqueen.

Pat Donnelly has been appointed as the new manager of the Limerick Under-21 hurlers while Brian Geary has agreed to join the senior set-up as a selector under manager John Kiely.
