Permanent TSB is offering €500 loans to those affected by the closure of thousands of Danske bank accounts.
The Danish bank is closing some 15,000 current accounts this weekend. Some customers will be locked-out of their accounts from Monday but have been told they will be able to use their ATM cards over the weekend.
The bank says different account closure dates were given to different customers to allow them to cope with the volume of queries.
PTSB has said it will open accounts for affected customers on demand, and will lend them up to €500 if their accounts have been frozen.
Danske announced in October that it was closing down its personal banking operations in Ireland.
For Danske Bank customers that have current and savings accounts, they will be able to access their funds until February 21.
Customers with accounts including mortgages or custody accounts have not yet been written to and do not need to take any action until they receive a letter from Danske Bank.
