Dublin City Council will meet later today to debate the plans for the 600,000 tonne incinerator at Poolbeg.

Labour councillor Kevin Humphreys has said he believes the current contract should be terminated.

Mr Humphreys said: "Residents of Ringsend and Sandymount have been living under the threat of this development for the past 10 years."
