The Dairygold co-op is reportedly planning to create 600 jobs at 30 new DIY stores throughout Ireland.
Reports this morning said the company was planning to invest around €30m over the next three years to establish the 4Home chain of DIY stores, which will also sell household goods.
Dairygold’s 13 existing outlets in Cork, Limerick and Tipperary will be rebranded as part of the move.
This morning’s reports said the company already had an annual turnover of €50m from DIY and homeware sales, but was planning to double this figure over the next three years.
The first new 4Home store is due to open in Mallow, Co Cork, at the end of next month.
