Rising star William Buick was taken to hospital following a horror fall from Doctor Ned in the Come Racing In Kent Selling Stakes at Folkestone.

The conditional jockey had just partnered his 17th winner of the year in the seven-furlong contest when his mount jinked left towards the winner’s enclosure after passing the post.

Buick was thrown to the ground and was taken by ambulance to nearby Ashford Hospital after being attended to by on-course medical staff.
