Dolphin 19 St. Mary’s College 13
Dolphin will spend Christmas in eighth spot in Division One after today’s two-try success against St. Mary’s College.
After two defeats, the Cork outfit got back to winning ways thanks to tries from Peter Owens and Gary Conway.
The game was only six minutes’ old when former Australian Sevens player Owens cantered over. Out-half Barry Keeshan added three penalties for a 14-3 Dolphin lead at the break.
Conway swapped tries with Mary’s winger John McWeeney before the Dubliners’ out-half Jonathan Sexton fly-hacked on and won the race for another touch down. He missed the conversion and Dolphin held on.
