No takers for 'naff' calendar of Welsh phone boxes

A 2014 calendar of Welsh phone boxes has failed to sell a single copy.

The '2014 Fast Disappearing Red Telephone Boxes of Wales' calendar has been on sale since September, but its creator Kevin Beresford – who was responsible for the successful 'Roundabouts of Great Britain 2012' calendar – has admitted his latest brainchild is "naff" and "dull".

He told Wales Online: “We have created a calendar - ‘Fast Disappearing Red Telephone Boxes of Wales 2014’ that is considered to be so hum-drum, so naff, so nerdy, so dull, so parochial that not even the most patriotic Welsh person wants to buy a copy.

“In short, we have not sold one calendar and we are past mid-November in the shopping-run up to Christmas.”
