INMO: Move to cut allowances would 'breach Croke Park deal'

The INMO is warning the Government against cutting allowances to nurses and midwives.

The INMO is warning the Government against cutting allowances to nurses and midwives.

Around 360 delegates at the union's conference in Killarney have passed a motion which says no more pay cuts or cuts to allowances will be accepted.

The Government is examining public sector allowances in general, but the union said any move to reduce them would be "in breach of the Croke Park deal".
