IBM seals service deals worth $1bn

IBM said today that its acquisition of Danish companies Maersk Data and Dmdata has been completed.

IBM said today that its acquisition of Danish companies Maersk Data and Dmdata has been completed.

IBM also said that it has completed new contracts worth in excess of $1bn (€750,000) with AP Moller - Maersk, one of the world's largest container shipping companies and Danske Bank, one of the largest banks in the Nordics for the provision of consulting and IT services.

IBM will provide AP Moller - Maersk with management consulting, application development and management services in addition to IT Infrastructure services across all platforms.

Danske Bank has selected IBM to manage its worldwide IT infrastructure. The agreement covers servers, storage, security management, disaster recovery and technical programme management.
