Cowell 'planning nuptials' after birth of baby
Simon Cowell is planning to marry Lauren Silverman after the birth of their baby.
The 54-year-old media mogul is keen to make his 87-year-old mum Julie happy as she's always wanted him to settle down and has agreed to wed the New York socialite who is pregnant with his first child.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Simon's mum has always dreamt of the day Simon settles down with one woman and he's determined for her to be a big part of the day."
Lauren - who recently divorced wealthy real-estate owner Andrew Silverman with whom she has seven-year-old son Adam - has agreed to a church wedding near Julie's home in Sussex, England, in 2014 and plans to also hold a blessing in America which her friends can enjoy.
There ceremony is said to be an intimate affair and the guest list will feature only a few celebrities including 'X Factor' judge Louis Walsh, Paul McKenna, Top Shop owner Sir Philip Green and Simon's ex-girlfriend Sinitta.
Earlier this month Simon posted a series of cryptic messages on Twitter promising his fans some exciting news in the near future, which is rumoured to be the announcement of his engagement to his
pregnant girlfriend.
He wrote on the social networking site: "Excited to reveal some news in the next few weeks. Am feeling very positive right now. It's been hard work but nothing should be too easy.
"In life you can obsess on other people's failures or focus on your own mistakes and work hard to make sure you don't repeat them.
"But hard work and focus gives you a chance to turn a corner. And that's how I am feeling right now."
