Elderly woman knocked down in Tralee accident

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic accident in Tralee, Co. Kerry.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic accident in Tralee, Co. Kerry.

At about 6pm this evening, an elderly female pedestrian was knocked down on the Basin Road in Tralee.

She was taken to Tralee General Hospital with serious injuries.

Gardaí have closed Basin Road from the junction at the Low Field to the ESB for a technical examination.

Diversions are in place.
