A device was thrown at a police Land Rover in west Belfast in the early hours of this morning.

A device was thrown at a police Land Rover in west Belfast in the early hours of this morning.

Officers were attending a report of damage to property at Whinn Park, Dunmurry, when the attack happened after midnight. There were no injuries.

A police spokeswoman said the Police Service of Northern Ireland was committed to providing a service regardless of the threat posed by a minority who sought to kill officers.
