Vintage television programmes featuring bodybuilder Lou Ferrigno as The Incredible Hulk are being dusted off and released on DVD to capitalise on the coming release of The Hulk, one of the summer’s most anticipated big-budget films.
Three made-for-television films starring the late Bill Bixby as Dr David Banner and Ferrigno as his inner monster are due out on DVD, while an animated version of the story, along with a bonus episode from the 1960s cartoon series is also due to hit the market soon, reports USA Today.
“Whenever we have a major theatrical release, it’s smart business to maximise the opportunity for a related DVD title,” Craig Kornblau, president of Universal Studios Home Video, told the newspaper.
The Hulk, which has been produced by Universal, stars the Australian actor Eric Bana as Banner and the Hulk is created by computer generated images.
