Gardaí have described last night's double murder in north Dublin as "callous and well-organised".

Sixty officers are working to establish a motive for the shooting dead of the two men from Dublin's north inner City.

The pair in their early 20's were shot up to eight times on the forecourt of the Tesco petrol station in Finglas by two men who were lying in wait.

Gardaí say one gunman fired from the back of a BMW 5 series, while the other shot from the passenger seat.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
