Justice Minister to draft international co-operation bill

The Government has given the Minister for Justice, Michael McDowell, the go-ahead to draft a Criminal Justice Bill relating to international co-operation.

The Government has given the Minister for Justice, Michael McDowell, the go-ahead to draft a Criminal Justice Bill relating to international co-operation.

The bill will provide further co-operation on criminal matters among member states of the EU.

The bill will also enact part of an agreement between the EU and the US on extradition and mutual legal assistance.
