Gardai are trying to establish if a series of anthrax scares in Ireland were a deliberate hoax.

The Irish Independent offices in central Dublin, a creamery in the west of Ireland, a post office in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, and a surgery in Tralee, Co Kerry were all at the centre of anthrax scares today.
