The Kerry County Board has officially confirmed the reappointment of Jack O'Connor as the county's senior football manager.
At a Board meeting on last night, Kingdom club delegates backed chairman Sean Walsh's proposal that the Dromid Pearses clubman be kept on for another 12 months.
It was seconded by Dromid representative Ger O'Shea.
O'Connor, who took over from Paidí O'Sé in October 2003, saw out his two-year term with last month's All-Ireland SFC final loss to Tyrone.
Selectors Johnny Culloty and Ger O'Keeffe, as well as trainer Pat Flanagan, are also staying on for 2006 as Kerry bid for a 34th Sam Maguire Cup win.
Last month's All-Ireland decider marked O'Connor's first defeat in 14 championship matches since taking the managerial reins, but the lure of coming back to crack Ulster's current citadel has proved too strong for the former Under-21 boss.
O'Connor had looked to be walking away from the job last month when he said: "We've had two great years. We've just lost our first championship match in two years, which wasn't a bad record - albeit a very important match to lose and a very disappointing one.
"If you were to ask me now, I would say that I wouldn't be going on."
