€1.75m worth of cocaine seized in Cork

Cocaine worth €1.75m has been seized in Cork.

Officers from Revenue Customs Service discovered the consignment of 25kg of the drug during a routine examination of containers at the Port last Friday.

They were being unloaded from a vessel which had arrived in Cork Port from Central America.

Investigations are ongoing.
