Lar Corbett has denied he is part of a winning Lotto syndicate.

The Tipperary hurler was rumoured to have won the €10.6m jackpot along with his business partner.

Currently in New York doing charity work for the survivors of Superstorm Standy, the 31-year-old Thurles Sarsfields man took to Twitter this morning to rubbish claims he was the holder of the winning ticket.

He tweeted: "I would like to put a stop to all the story's about the €10,6 million it is not TRUE."
