A young man who ran over and killed a man that had jumped up on his parked car has been found NOT guilty of dangerous driving causing death.

A young man who ran over and killed a man that had jumped up on his parked car has been found NOT guilty of dangerous driving causing death.

22 year old Dara O’Sullivan, of Clonard Road, Dundrum had pleaded not guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to dangerous driving causing the death of Liam Stafford at Clonard Lawns, Sandyford.

Liam Stafford, died in the early hours of November 8, 2009 after he was run over by the car being driven by Mr. O'Sullivan.

After deliberating for just over one hour the jury of seven men and five women returned a verdict of not guilty.

Judge Desmond Hogan discharged the jury after telling them: "There are absolutely no winners in this situation".
