German couple: It's us, not McAreaveys, in trial CCTV footage
The German couple seen in CCTV footage at the Micheala McAreavey murder trial last Friday has confirmed they are the people in the video - and are willing to testify to that effect if required.
The defence team for the two men accused of killing Michaela maintained that the couple filmed arguing at the Legends Hotel were John and Michaela McAreavey, and that the video proved that John McAreavey had given a contradictory account of his movements to the court.
The footage was filmed just after 3pm on January 10 last year, around 15 minutes after the prosecution claims the Tyrone woman died at the hands of two hotel employees.
The trial continues tomorrow.
