Police officers allegedly found 13 bags of cocaine at Boy George's New York City apartment when he was arrested on Friday, according to legal papers.
The flamboyant British singer-turned-DJ was arrested after police attended a reported burglary at his Little Italy property and the drug was found by officers.
A report by Manhattan's district attorney reveals up to 3.5 grams (0.12 ounces) of cocaine were recovered from the 13 bags.
Former drug addict George - real name George O'Dowd - was charged with falsely reporting a burglary and drug possession. He denies the drugs belong to him.
His lawyer Lou Freeman says: "He's a very social person. He has a lot of people over to his apartment."
George, who returned to London on Sunday, is due to return to court in New York City on 19 December. If found guilty he faces up to 15 years imprisonment.
