GPA boss Dessie Farrell is confident the organisation will eventually be represented on the Central Council despite their ongoing poor relationship with the GAA.
There has been a stalemate since former Armagh skipper Jarlath Burns ended his term on the Council as the representative of the GAA's official players' body.
GAA President Sean Kelly's wish for inter-county panels to vote on the setting up of a new players' body has not been achieved and the issue remains unresolved.
Kelly attended the GPA's annual awards ceremony last Friday in Dublin in an official capacity.
However, Farrell said yesterday: "The problem lies with Croke Park itself and the mindset of the GAA towards the GPA."
