Gardaí in Co Louth are investigating an aggravated burglary at a service station in Bellurgan last night.

Gardaí in Co Louth are investigating an aggravated burglary at a service station in Bellurgan last night.

Two men entered the premises at around 9pm.

Both had their faces covered and were carrying what were believed to have been firearms.

They confronted staff as they were locking up and threatened them, but then fled the scene empty handed.

One is described as being about 6ft in height wearing a black jacket, black balaclava, blue jeans and gloves.

The second is described as 5ft 6’ in height, wearing a green jacket, a navy beanie and a scarf over his face.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dundalk Garda Station.
