A murder investigation has been launched in Dublin after a man in his 40s was attacked in a pub car park in the early hours of this morning.

A murder investigation has been launched in Dublin after a man in his 40s was attacked in a pub car park in the early hours of this morning.

The incident happened at Hennigan's pub off Park West Road in Ballyfermot around 2am.

Gardai say up to 20 people were involved in a row.

Two men were taken to Tallaght hospital. One died this morning and the second man is undergoing surgery.

It is thought the dead man is from the UK.
