SIPTU agrees on package for Ballina redundancies

SIPTU workers at the Henniges Elastomers plant, due to close in September have agreed on a redundancy package with management.

SIPTU workers at the Henniges Elastomers plant, due to close in September have agreed on a redundancy package with management.

The 150 workers will receive five weeks pay per year of service in addition to their statutory entitlements.

Workers will also benefit from a local task force set up to tackle the issues of new jobs and investment into the area.
