Paul Jewell has been sacked as manager of Sheffield Wednesday.

The former Bradford boss was axed after the Owls, who lie bottom of Nationwide Division One, lost 4-1 at Wimbledon at the weekend.

Club chairman Howard Colley has also announced his resignation in protest at the decision.
