Radio 1's Sara Cox and former EastEnder Martine McCutcheon ranked second and third among fantasy female dates.

Brit stars topped the poll for both sexes, with US contenders Russell Crowe, Eminem and Friends star Matt Le Blanc forced out of the top five.

US women also lost out to their British counterparts, with Sarah Jessica Parker, Britney Spears and Australian Kylie Minogue all beaten by television presenter Cat Deeley and singer Jamelia.
