A meeting of the FAI board of management is continuing in a Dublin hotel with the future of Eircom Park topping the agenda.
The twenty member board is discussing a proposal from a property development company to build the park at no cost to the association.
A provisional offer from the Taoiseach relating to the National stadium is also being discussed.
The cost of construction for the 45,000 seater stadium currently stands at £130m.
If the FAI decides to build its own stadium the move could bankrupt Irish soccer.
