Leeds have slapped a 'not for sale' tag on goalkeeper Nigel Martyn.
Newspaper reports claim that Liverpool are set to make a £5m bid for the England goalkeeper.
But Leeds chairman Peter Ridsdale has rubbished the claims that Martyn is heading to Anfield.
Ridsdale told the Leeds United official website: "There has been no bid, and we are not in the business of selling our first-team players.
"Now we are not in the market at the moment of buying, stories are now appearing that we are selling players."
Martyn recently regained the number one shirt from Paul Robinson at Elland Road after 22 games sidelined through injury.
United boss David O'Leary has an abundance of riches in the goalkeeping position with Robinson's emergence and the continued progress of Aussie international Danny Milosevic.
But Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier is known to be on the lookout for a top-quality keeper in the wake of indifferent form from his Dutch number one Sander Westerveldt.
Last week Ridsdale fended off speculation linking Danny Mills with Leicester and Michael Bridges with Newcastle.
He said: "We do not envisage anyone leaving the club before we take stock in the summer as to what David's squad requires."
