Kodak cancels hybrid camera launch
Kodak has cancelled the launch of a camera that had been designed to give consumers a digital image and film picture at the same time.
The company says component costs have made it unviable to launch the Advantix Easy Share Camera now.
And the price of current digital cameras hasn't helped either.
It says it would ideally like to price the camera in the USA at around $200 (€203), but it can't predict when that might happen.
The camera had been set for an initial launch around the USA's Labour Day holiday - September 2 - with a full roll-out by early 2003.
