Sinn Fein has claimed that a resolution of the policing issue is in sight if nationalists continue to stand firm.

Sinn Fein has claimed that a resolution of the policing issue is in sight if nationalists continue to stand firm.

The comments were made after party president Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness indicated limited progress had been made after weeks of intensive negotiations with the British Government.

A party spokesman said, if Tony Blair can bring himself to make the leap of imagination that is required, the policing problem can be resolved.
