Munster winger Anthony Horgan was the star of the show as Ireland A thrashed their Italian counterparts 68-16 in Viterbo this afternoon.
Horgan scored three of Ireland's 10 tries as Ireland's second stringers set the tone for the first team game tomorrow.
Fly-half Jeremy Staunton from Garryowen was also impressive, chipping in with a try, two conversions and two penalties of his side's total.
Gary Garnwell started the rout for the Irish in the 17th minute, forcing his way over the line after Tony McWhirter was held short from a scrum.
Shane Byrne added the second on 20 minutes and following Horgan's completion of his hat-trick in the 62nd minute, Ireland blitzed the home side with five tries in the final quarter.
