Driver dies in crash

A man was killed today in a head-on collision outside Galway city.

A man was killed today in a head-on collision outside Galway city.

The accident happened at about 9am at Cloonboo on the Headford road.

The driver of one of the vehicles was killed in the crash. He has not yet been named but is believed to be from the Galway area.

The two passengers travelling in the same vehicle suffered injuries and were taken to the University Hospital in Galway.

The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.
